huh?is it for real?haha…
its obviously ridiculous lol to wait for that long long time..haha..
btw, you’re facing this prob while running on Vista SP1, my laptop currently running standard vista, no SP1.. and it just all fine till now, the transfer speed is acceptable although its little bit slow compare to XP. I had transfered big file which more than 5GB..and its just take about less than 30 Min, do some math, if the file totally 18.8GB as yours, it wouldn’t be more than 2 hrs to complete the task. Nway, i believe that this a kind of bugs on SP1, maybe you can send report to microsoft regarding this error/bug. That just what i think.. Technically i dunno what actually happen.

Actually at a rate of 233KB/sec it should only take approximately 23.5017 hours to download 18.8GB (yes I used 1024 to convert not 1000). But it’s still funny as hell…and Vista still sucks haha

Microsoft added this on purpose to discourage “file sharers”, not making any distinction what dataset you are using there.
Its funny that Vista is not used at any university place nearby that i know of (central europe)
