Sony PlayStation 3 Firmware 2.20 Available Now!

You can now force them to give up all of their BD-Live downloadable treasures via a new update online. In case you need a final reminder, this update brings us a whole bunch of improvements to the PS3’s Blu-Ray playback (including Blu-Ray Live), as well as nifty features like letting you use your PSP as a remote control for your PS3 for music playback.

According to Playstation Blog:

If you’ve signed in to the PLAYSTATION Network tonight on your PS3, you probably noticed that you were prompted to upgrade the system’s firmware to v2.17. In case you were wondering what it’s all about (and a quick Google search indicates that yes, you are) the operating stability of some online PS3 titles has been improved.

My friend was told me that he can’t update the latest iPhone firmware version 1.1.3 last week and ‘The Register’ reported that:

The latest version of the firmware for Apple’s iPhone has fallen to hackers less than a week after its release.

Two hackers working separately have both succeeded in jailbreaking version 1.1.3 of the firmware, iPhone Atlas reports. One of the hacks requires hardware modification, so it’s not suited for those of a nervous disposition or lacking in electronics expertise.

Apple iPhone Firmware 1.1.3 released during MacWorld Expo.

• Maps: New hybrid view, same as Google Maps. Satellite imagery and street mapping available on a single view.
• Maps: Location triangulation. Uses nearby WiFi access points and GSM towers (on the iPhone, anyway) to roughly guesstimate your current location.
• Web Clips: Web bookmarks can now be saved as home screen icons, including zoom and location information.
• Home screen: Icons on the home screen can now be rearranged.
• Home screen: Up to 9 home screens can now be created and “flicked” between.
