Running Firefox on Mobile?

With Firefox 3.0 scheduled to be released on June 17 there is also word (and video) of what’s cooking with Firefox Mobile. Note that it is being designed for touch screens, but not for multi-touch. The thinking there is that multi-touch isn’t yet popular enough and that touch is the lowest common denominator. This will certainly be an interesting development and what you can find at this link is still listed as being in the concept stages.

Firefox 3 To Be Released On June 17th

Mozilla has been announcing Release Candidates for Firefox 3 consistently for the past month. In fact, Firefox 3 RC 3 was just released earlier today. Hmmm… I’m just wonder why my Firefox 3 RC2 couldn’t found Firefox RC3 update when I click on check for updates.
READ carefully, FF3 RC3 contains a single change for Mac OS X users only; there is no change for users running previous Firefox Release Candidate versions on Windows or Linux.
An hours after RC3 released, Mozilla has announced that Firefox 3 will be officially released next Tuesday, June 17th.

Firefox Goes for World Download Record

For the upcoming release of Firefox, Mozilla is preparing Download Day 2008: a campaign to set a world record for the most software downloaded in 24 hours. Participants are asked to pledge to download Firefox 3 on the day that it’s launched. The exact date hasn’t been scheduled yet, but everything seems on track for June.

Introduce Mozilla Lab Firefox Plugins
Written by Planet Lowyat on April 4, 2008 – 4:07 pm -Personally, I’m big fans of Mozilla Firefox and I’m using Firefox 3 since Beta 1 and running on Beta 5 now. So far, I’m happy with the Firefox performance and I won’t switch back to Firefox 2.x.x.
I know there are a lot of Firefox Add-ons that still not working well with Firefox 3 beta x but Mozilla Lab itself working on some of the creative add-ons.
Mozilla Laboratories are where science and creativity meet to develop, research, and explore new ideas. Mozilla Labs embraces this great tradition - a virtual lab where people come together to create, experiment, and play with new Web innovations and technologies.
Weave is a project to integrate web services into Firefox by allowing users to securely share their data with other users and 3rd parties.
Prism (formerly, Webrunner) is a prototype application that lets users split web applications out of their browser and run them directly on their desktop.
Personas for Firefox is a prototype extension that provides dynamic lightweight theming for Firefox.
