Asus releases details on desktop Eee
Written by Planet Lowyat on June 21, 2008 – 12:06 am -
ASUS has finally - finally! - confirmed the existence of the Eee Box.
The company claims its desktop will be just 1 litre in volume, a rather odd measurement for a computer, but Asus are being rather vague on the exact dimensions of the upcoming hardware. The only details suggest that it will be as “slim as a paperback novel”. The desktop version of the Eee PC will be available in August, this summer and Asus will announce the price very soon.
Eee Box will run Windows XP Home on Intel’s Atom N270 processor at 1.6GHz, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, 80GB hard drive, Gigabit Ethernet connection and 802.11n Wi-Fi.

We’re waiting to see how is the Asus Eee PC Desktop, Eee Box look like and finally it’s revealed.
So far we don’t have firm details but since this is an Asus “Eee” product, we can assume it follows the same mantra of “Easy to Learn, Easy to Work, Easy to Play”. Maybe a beefed up Linux distro and application bundle?
