AIX 5L System Administration I: Implementation (Q1314)

IBM instructors demonstrate the lab portion of the course should the classroom version of this course contain labs. Lab files required to perform labs are not available for distribution.

This course applies to both pSeries 600 and RS/6000 Servers and is appropriate for individuals administering AIX Version 4 installations.

Learn to be an effective system administrator for one or more AIX systems. Prepare for the IBM eServer Certified Specialist - pSeries AIX System Administration and pSeries AIX System Support certification tests. Learn how to install, customize, and handle common AIX system administration tasks using the AIX Version 5.1 operating system in a multiuser environment. Learn the basic commands and skills for administering the AIX Version 5.1 operating system.

After this course, you should complete:

* AIX 5L System Administration II: Problem Determination (Q1316)

System administrators, implementers, and managers of AIX Version 5.1 on an IBM RS/6000 system.

* Use the available system management tools: System Management Interface Tool (SMIT) and the Web-based System Manager

    Hi all……Actually it is not a Zip file….once u extact the two files in the RAR….. u need to use 7Z software to extract the files….. Please find below the software link which would extract the two files and NO PASSWORD IS REQUIRED…

    Hi Kranthi,

    I have downloaded all the .rar files and extracted using Winrar tool and it has created two .rar files with naming Administration 1 and 2, again I extracted Administration 1 using winrar tool and got all the .exe files including setup.exe, I executed the setup.exe first before I lanuch, the momeent I started executing the Q14S1_lab1.exe I can the ILS digital screen with the message the setup has completed press ok there after the window is disapprearing nothing I can see….

    I am unable to lauch.. could you please assist. Thank you.

    I got the solution if u want to run this learing course on windows vista. before it was not giving the voice bcuz some of the codecs were missing in media player now u can download the codes from this site which is given below……

    the course works on IE6 and Vista has IE7 version , try to change some settings of IE or downgrade it and the course will work.
