This project known as Weave and it will focus on finding ways to enhance the Firefox user experience, increase user control over personal information, and provide new opportunities for developers to build innovative online experiences.

Dell announces Ubuntu 7.10 PCs with DVD playback as part of its Dell Consumer Linux lineup.

According to Dell spokesperson Anne B. Camden, the “Dell Inspiron 530N desktop and Inspiron 1420N notebook PCs are now available with Ubuntu 7.10 pre-installed.” Both of these models were part of Dell’s second wave of Ubuntu-powered PCs, which were released in June 2007.

How to delete your private data from Linux machine?

Due to certain reasons, if you would like to delete your private data in your Linux machine,

You should try:

dd if=/dev/urandom of=/dev/sda

This command will overwrite the data stored on the /dev/sda partition with random junk, however, there is a disadvantage with using the dd command and that is the speed that it takes to overwriting the data.
